About Me
6I’ve always been good with expressing myself on paper, and I’ve always had an insatiable desire to know things. This led to the only natural career path for me: a writer.
As a writer in marketing, I’ve spent years developing my ability to communicate effectively. My goal when I create or direct content is to get the right message in front of the right person, at the right time.
As a content manager and strategist, I’ve curated content and provided direction to other writers and editors to produce content that ranks with SEO and reaches users.

Live
I began as a writer, contributing first with the piece The ultimate guide to cat body language and then onto many others. I grew to become more than a writer — at betterpet, I’ve been an editor, strategist, and content manager.
From October 2020 to April 2021 I worked at Careerminds in a contract role. While I no longer work for them full time, I am freelancing on an as-needed basis. You can see my work here!
As someone who has been chronically ill (and successfully manages it), I have a lot of interest in healthcare. I’m also an experienced caregiver and have written articles in the past concerning chronic illness and healthcare.
Partnered with the subject matter experts at Techmate, I’ve created content designed to reach executive audiences, IT departments, and IT specialists. In addition to broad audiences, I’ve created geo-specific content, targeting specific regions and cities using tailored templates designed to help Techmate gain the visibility they deserve.
In one capacity or another I created content for Fireplace Doors Online and at times was more or less the entire marketing department. COVID-19 unfortunately impacted my role with FDO, but you can still read my content featured there.

WNCSource
I’ve served on WNCSource’s Board of Directors since 2020. Along with other board members, staff, and members of the community, I’ve worked to help strategically guide our services primarily over three counties (Henderson, Polk, and Transylvania) through childcare services, transportation, elder care, and more. With WNCSource, I serve on numerous committees, including the transportation and marketing committees.
